Valhalla Missile Silo Diving!

Dive Proficiency Level- This is an Advanced Dive*. To make this a fun and enjoyable dive you should:
1) Should already have prior deep diving and limited visibility experience.
2) Correctly weighted with the gear you will be wearing to dive.
3) Be comfortable donning and doffing your scuba gear in the water.
4) Be in moderately good physical shape to carry your dive gear.
*Divers with physical considerations/concerns: Be advised equipment (FULL GEAR) will have to be physically transported to/from the surface to the staging/changing level to the platform. There are approximately 75 stairs from the surface to the staging/changing area. From there, you descend down the suspended stairway (moving) and gangway to the floating platform 30’ below. Divers considering heavier type equipment (i.e. doubles) will want to seriously consider this descent and climb during equipment selection.
Diving Conditions
-Water Temperature: 58° -60°F (Need: Adequate exposure gear)
-Depth/Visibility: 130 ft. deep and crystal-clear.
-Silo Width: 60 ft. in diameter.
-Ambient Air Temperature: 60°F
-Ambient Light: Little to none underwater (1st/2nd lights/personal marker needed).
Diving Procedures- There is a floating platform with a stairway for staging divers. Each diver carries his or her own personal diving gear. This insures the diver has all equipment available when entering water and has hands free to climb stairs. Divers don gear, do final buddy check and make a fun dive according to their dive plan. Divers complete dive, doff scuba and exit platform by climbing the stairs/gangway.
